I have previously worked at SafePlace, the Austin-Travis County shelter for domestic and sexual violence. Additionally, I have gained extensive experience and knowledge about mental illness and psychopharmacology as a clinician at a psychiatric research clinic. Research Experience Throughout my career, I have remained committed to addressing various psychological issues through research. In my experience at the University of Texas, Center for Social Work Research, Ray Marshall Center for the Study of Human Resources, and the Texas Workforce Commission, I researched various issues related to psychology such as domestic violence, mental illness, substance abuse, and homelessness. My most current research explored the psychological effects of trauma by examining dreams that occur following traumatic experiences.
